Since Babes is a place of empowerment, I’ve decided not to post a photo of Alen Hadzic to accompany this post about how a known sexual predator is able to compete in this year’s Olympic Games. Link in bio for more on the US Fencer who is not even allowed to stay in the Olympic Village for the safety of other athletes.

@ashleighjohnson is making a splash (😏) as the first black woman to play Olympic water polo for Team USA and is hoping to add another gold to her medal display at home. Her dedication to paving the way for more black women in the sport and knocking down ignorant stereotypes is inspirational. 🙌

So proud of Simone The Goat Biles for being strong enough to withdraw from the team final in the interest of her mental health. It’s so important and refreshing to see an athlete protect herself and encourage others to do the same. Love yourself first. We love you, Simone!
